# Corrected proof audit PASS2 — issue 16445

## Findings first

**No blocking proof finding remains in the corrected active set.** The prior unmatched capture conditions, invalid S5 Danger anchors, recovered S2 toast contamination, missing interaction variants, E1 caption gap, and failed independent reproduction have been addressed. This is an evidence sufficiency verdict for the requested matrix, not a new code review, CI certification, merge permission, or pixel-cleanliness claim.

Audited [#23641](https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/pull/23641), for [#16445](https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/issues/16445), at head [f822473](https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/commit/f8224736181b75310409aeb9926ab9a10ea8b6bd), actual feature base [f054d1b](https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/commit/f054d1b8018721bd997d99cbb918a7b17bf098a4). E1 correctly uses the separate pre-toast baseline [33b1806](https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/commit/33b1806ca42286d36bc1b0686ee8336fa659dbcb).

Reviewed the entire [corrected evidence report](https://gh-file-drop-api-prod-mi5fy3sowv63ufte.pinglabs.workers.dev/f/4d63bba916a20a88/issue16445-pr23641-corrected-evidence.md), original matrix `/tmp/issue16445-pr23641-proof-audit.md`, prior adverse audit `/tmp/issue16445-pr23641-final-proof-audit.md`, AGENTS.md, test-t3-app, and `/home/ubuntu/t3code-ops/docs/EVIDENCE.md`. Only `published-manifest.json` and `captioned-v2-manifest.json` define the active evidence. The public corrected report is byte-identical to the local report read for this audit.

## Prior findings disposition

| Prior finding | PASS2 disposition and independently checked basis |
|---|---|
| Unmatched time, scroll, origin, focus/state | RESOLVED. All 68 common-coordinate pairs match viewport, frozen Date/time, URL/origin, theme/root class, font size, settings and focus; scroll top/left match. Primary origin is localhost:9733 on both revisions, secondary localhost:16659. Date is frozen at 2026-10-24T04:00:00Z; timers, RAF and performance clock remain operational. |
| Invalid narrow S5 Danger base frames | RESOLVED. Both narrow themes now have explicit before/after anchors with the full Remove checkout button visible on both sides. Eight intentionally unequal-scroll anchors are labelled and backed by matched common-coordinate pairs; they are not presented as aligned pixel evidence. |
| Recovered S2 dark failure-toast contamination | RESOLVED. Active assets are new clean captures. Prior excluded-image hashes have no overlap with active before/after images. Excluded historical/recovered captures remain excluded, not renamed into passing evidence. |
| Missing K1/P1/A/L interaction variants | RESOLVED. All four requested width/theme variants have actual head actions and base counterparts (absent-control demonstrations where appropriate), with captions, source videos, metadata, and checkpoints. L has actual actions on both revisions. |
| Missing E1 captions | RESOLVED. Error.message and non-Error fallback each have pre-toast/head recordings in all four variants, with readable step captions, checkpoint time and playback time. |
| Nonzero independent rebuild from changed fixture paths | RESOLVED. One fresh isolated rebuild used the delivered exact fixture paths, head, origin, state and viewport. The final saved PNG is byte-identical to the selected head capture; unmasked pixel deltas are 0 at both thresholds. |
| N1 invisible accessible-name branch | RETAIN prior PASS, as instructed. No new four-still demand and no claim this round independently replayed N1. |

## Integrity and numerical checks

Downloaded both public archives and checked every member against the local delivered files: 802 still/fixture members and 276 recording members, no mismatch. Still archive SHA256: `8a521c5e9463a45d39cc07447924a987a6136686302fcb179a13fc5d93825c41`; recording archive SHA256: `ece14fd1215d61284a3cb0dab24f1580c0048deb80403a7f746d311049f9095b`. Active selected images, masks, source videos, and captioned videos are present in the archives and published uploads with matching hashes.

Independently recomputed all **112 comparisons**: 68 common-coordinate pairs, eight labelled anchors, and 36 interaction checkpoint comparisons. Every reported count and binary amplified mask matches. The metric is maximum absolute RGB-channel difference per pixel, counted at **>0** and **>8/255** (3.137%, not 8%). No masked region, alignment, normalization, or ignored pixels were introduced. The masks paint every counted pixel magenta. Anchor counts are accurate but unequal-scroll anchors are unsuitable for isolating a feature's pixel change; the report identifies that limitation.

Visually reviewed all 76 before/after still pairs and their masks through contact sheets, all 36 checkpoint comparisons, enlarged S5 anchors, and the wide E1 frames. Reviewed 1fps frame sheets for every active captioned recording (base absent-control videos also inspected at beginning/middle/end). Decoded all source videos for sampled content comparison; this is not an exhaustive visual review of every full-resolution frame.

## Row-by-row still status

Each table cell below is **PASS**, followed by independently recomputed `>0 / >8` changed-pixel counts. The common pairs are aligned. Full before/after images, masks, settings and scroll metadata remain in the corrected report and active manifest. Variants are CSS viewport widths, not saved raster widths.

S1 covers inherited and explicit separate grouping; S2 and S3 cover the repository/worktree checkout distinctions; S4 the environment distinction; S5 the existing-checkout/Danger path. V covers explicit path/repository, inherited path, and the open options. At narrow widths the closed long labels and paths truncate; this is disclosed, not a claim of full closed-label readability. The open popup shows all four options. Several narrow common frames put the selector below the fold; their explicitly labelled anchors supply control visibility. The S5 anchors show Remove checkout on both sides.

L's unchanged narrow frames are exactly equal. Wide L differences are 3,798 dark / 3,303 light pixels at >0, with zero >8. These are visible low-amplitude raster differences; their apparent edge/font nature is an inference, not proof of an antialiasing cause or permission to discard them. Wide E1 includes breadcrumb/Back glyph raster changes outside the toast (1,016 dark / 940 light >8 sidebar pixels disclosed in the corrected report), in addition to the intended error toast. Narrow E1 toast overlays upper content. Those changes remain in all unmasked counts; no claim that only the new control/toast changed is accepted.

## Interaction status

| Family | All four variants | Actual checked behavior |
|---|---|---|
| K1 | PASS | Head opens the four-option control with keyboard, Escape returns focus, selects repository, then inheritance removes only echo's override while retaining delta's unrelated path override. Base demonstrates the missing control. |
| P1 | PASS | Reduced-scoped permission session still persists the grouping write (API readback repository_path), while all four Remove controls remain disabled before and after. Base absent-control counterpart supplied. |
| A | PASS | Actual scoped route selection of Keep separate automatically follows the physical project key; inheritance returns to the exact original repository route. Script/events show no manual navigation substituting for the automatic transition. Base absent-control counterpart supplied. |
| L | PASS | Both revisions open the legacy grouping dialog, draft Keep separate, Save, reopen and restore inheritance while retaining the unrelated override. All four variants recorded; inherited/path/repository/separate still states also supplied. |
| E1 Error.message | PASS | Both pre-toast and head attempt a rejected write; rejection count goes from zero to one, inherited value/empty overrides retained, injected transport restored. Head shows the actual message; pre-toast does not. |
| E1 non-Error fallback | PASS | Same rollback and restoration proof; head shows “An error occurred”, separate pre-toast counterpart does not. |

There are 48 source/captioned recording pairs and 36 checkpoint comparisons. Each source and derived file hash was independently verified. The active derived videos have a uniform product-area scale, an appended caption band, revision/variant identification, application checkpoint/next-action narration, playback elapsed time, and a five-second final hold. The old first caption pass is retained historically but not active.

The source recording timeline is compressed/VFR relative to the application clock. Application checkpoint seconds are not guaranteed frame-accurate video event times. Fixed-timestamp source-versus-derived samples differ around transitions (maximum sampled MAE 12.1845); consequently this audit does not certify timestamp-identical frames. A separate nearest-source-frame comparison of the sampled derived product area across all 48 videos found maximum MAE 1.9508138 at reduced resolution, consistent with scaling/lossy encoding. Together with source/action/event inspection, this supports that the derived recordings retain the actual action sequences. It is not pixel identity, proof of every frame, or an independent timing-performance benchmark. This timing distinction is disclosed in the corrected report and captions, and does not conceal an absent action.

Active recordings checked individually (each PASS; source and captioned names identify the archived/public files):

## One independent rebuild

Used clean existing checkout `/tmp/issue16445-audit-pass2-20261024` at the exact requested head, with dependencies already available. Used the delivered bootstrap/projection SQL copied into my own artifact directory. Created only fresh isolated T3 home `/tmp/issue16445-corrected-audit-home-20261024`. No live database was opened or copied. Synthetic projections retained the exact delivered repository paths `/tmp/issue16445-fixture-20261024-0258/repos/{delta,echo,foxtrot}`; existing fixture directories were preserved.

Commands (private pairing token/output deliberately omitted):

```sh
python3 /tmp/issue16445-corrected-audit-artifacts/bootstrap-rebuild.py   /tmp/issue16445-corrected-audit-home-20261024   /tmp/issue16445-audit-pass2-20261024
# start-owned.py uses a captured Popen PID with start_new_session=True:
T3CODE_PORT_OFFSET=4000 T3CODE_AUTO_BOOTSTRAP_PROJECT_FROM_CWD=0 T3CODE_DEV_ALLOWED_ORIGINS=http://localhost:9733 vp run dev --no-seed --home-dir /tmp/issue16445-corrected-audit-home-20261024
node apps/server/src/bin.ts pair   --base-dir /tmp/issue16445-corrected-audit-home-20261024 --ttl 30m
```

Actual ports were web 9733 / server 17773. Opened an owned incognito T3 preview tab, paired to that home, used delivered capture-settings/determinism helpers, 390×844 CSS at DPR2, dark theme, frozen T0, grouping global repository and delta physical-key override separate. Navigated to the exact physical-key Settings route, settled scroll at 449, and hovered Settings breadcrumb as specified. The first settle still had a provider-update notice; the final settle and sole final screenshot had no transient notice. Focus was null. Saved raster is 780×1688. No fixture-path substitution, image masking, or corrective recapture was used.

**Result: unmasked >0 = 0, >8 = 0; bounding box null.** Both selected and rebuilt PNG SHA256 are `761f5e46d74f17cca2918d9fc665391520cd23f32135a851d552502482c25f44`. Thus there is no unexpected non-AA residual in this independent run. `rebuild-comparison.json`, metadata, PNG and both empty masks are included in the audit artifacts.

Closed the owned browser tab and stopped only the captured owned process groups. Initialization PGID 2171232 and main dev PGID 2172599 have no remaining members (`teardown.json`). Main group members were checked against the owned worktree before termination. Existing fixtures, source checkouts, and isolated home are preserved. Source checkouts (head, actual base, pre-toast base, independent audit checkout) were clean; no production edits, push, PR comment, merge or watcher was performed. The thread PR link was checked; watching is false.

## Scope, limitations and FRICTION

- Read the actual three-file web diff. This matrix covers affected Project Settings states and the legacy dialog; the unchanged accessible-name branch N1 retains the earlier PASS. Web also supplies desktop's shared renderer. There is no changed native mobile, Electron shell/IPC, provider, or wire-contract branch requiring a new capture here. Machine-scope collapse was accepted by the original matrix; unchanged empty/loading paths were not newly demanded.
- Four requested variants were checked. No claim is made about every intermediate viewport, OS, font renderer, native client or connection topology. Wide screenshots are transported as 1280×800 from 1440×900 CSS, while narrow saves 780×1688; this limits pixel interpretation across differently sized rasters, not within a pair.
- Captioned videos were sampled visually at 1fps, with additional full-frame still/checkpoint inspection. Computational reduced-resolution source matching is supporting evidence, not exhaustive manual authentication of every video frame. Metadata and captured event provenance support the claims; only one selected affected still was independently rebuilt.
- First preview resize lacked the required freeform mode and was retried with corrected arguments. An initial project-text wait timed out because the narrow sidebar was hidden; the Settings checkout wait succeeded. Neither required a second rebuild or changing the fixture.
- ffmpeg source decoding reported duplicate/nonmonotonic DTS warnings during raw frame extraction; decoding completed successfully. The VFR/compressed timing issue is reported above rather than hidden as a frame-exact assertion.
- Existing code-review MERGE verdicts, eight CI passes and reported no-actionable bot state were not revalidated in this proof-only audit and do not waive evidence requirements. This report grants no merge authorization.
- Private logs, pairing tokens, isolated home/database and ambient credentials are excluded from public artifacts. Public output is an explicit allowlist of audit scripts, computed JSON, PNG/JPEG inspection sheets and teardown facts.
