# Issue 7409 evidence recovery report

Status: ALL new captures UNVERIFIED. Final bounded normal-dev startup did not produce a usable app. No behavioral verdict.

## Environment and identity
- Date: 2026-10-22 UTC; browser: own T3 preview tab tab_4_eafb492d-3dd0-45d7-a32c-b20353392ff3, 1280x800 failure attempt.
- BEFORE worktree: /home/ubuntu/wt/issue-7409-before, base 49e97d48f9742ba4c5ab79efc618fbf9066523ec.
- Lead-owned normal dev: T3CODE_BUNDLED_DEV=0; home /tmp/7409-recovery-before; web 7668, server 15708; log /tmp/7409-before-server.log.
- Fix worktree: /home/ubuntu/wt/issue-7409. Observed current HEAD 5e5df601bc8b92b1d75503d34b3c86e359b50d08, git status clean. User originally supplied a7cdb1390b plus three uncommitted race-fix files; lead committed during recovery. Fixed build never tested.
- Fixtures: /tmp/7409-recovery-fixtures, invented data only. No fixture writes performed.

## Captured / missing
- Captured: sanitized startup/compiler log and HTTP 503 health result only. Browser navigation returned T3 Code (Beta), but no usable snapshot.
- C 1440 light, 1440 dark, 390 light, 390 dark: all BEFORE/AFTER recordings, raw aligned stills, Diff0 and Diff8 UNVERIFIED / missing.
- Literal new-chat integrated-terminal git switch -c, focused forward/reverse branch updates and latency: UNVERIFIED / missing. No terminal command executed.
- L linked checkout/actions/commit/Changes/sibling/dirty/detached/non-repo: all UNVERIFIED / missing.
- P branch-specific PR metadata and retention: UNVERIFIED / missing.
- Native desktop/mobile, remote/relay/tunnel/reconnect/two environments, unseen palette/dialog/sidebar states: UNVERIFIED.
- No service tests run in this evidence-only step. Matrix service obligations unchanged.
- No valid before/after pair exists, so no diff counts, thresholds, masks, alignment, latency or pass claim can be reported.

## Failure and FRICTION
- Normal startup log: startup chunk warmup failed; UNHANDLEABLE_ERROR; Rolldown reports “Dev engine is closed”.
- Server /health returned HTTP 503 with empty body.
- Both preview_snapshot(save=true) calls failed verbatim: “Preview automation snapshot timed out after 15000ms.” Thus even a failure screenshot could not be retained.
- Prior two bundled startup failures were supplied context, not rerun. No further startup attempted; no alternative browser used, per test-t3-app workflow.
- BEFORE did not succeed; do not start AFTER for this capture attempt. Report to lead: final bounded attempt blocked; retain evidence as failure only.

## What else changed
No source edits, fixture changes, server starts/stops, Git mutations, test runs, or forge writes by this evidence step. Opened one owned preview tab and navigated once. Created only /tmp evidence files. Servers remain lead-owned.
