# R8a after — service harness recording

Label: scratch service harness, **not a built-server or real-Git capture**. It imports the actual unmodified service from this checkout and supplies mocked filesystem, Git, host, projection and orchestrator dependencies. Linux x86_64 VM fs-07; Node v26.12.1; Effect clock frozen at 2026-08-28T12:00:00.000Z on both sides; UTC wall timestamps annotate calls. Viewport, theme, browser, DPR, fonts: N/A.

Steps: construct matching synthetic eligible fixture(s); start actual service; activate Deferred; await candidate-read Queue (R7) or snapshot-read Deferred (R8); drain worker; record all probes, branch inputs/options/results, summaries and dispatches; close scope. No sleep or polling is used.


Expected and observed: R8a marker probe fails with PermissionDenied; fallback retains W. Actual service calls branchPullRequest at W with refresh:false, the controlled stub returns null, and drain completes with no sync and no group warning. This matches the before recording lookup/outcome, while the probe target changes to W/.git. The shared supplied harness returns null; it does not simulate a real Git permission failure.
