# issue24147 supplemental evidence — affected global wrapping scope

Evidence only, 2026-10-24. Candidate [d4d5ad61](https://git.cafe/pingdotgg/t3code/commit/d4d5ad61be36dc32ef9e1934d64b3bd6cd4fe54e) versus base [eea98953](https://git.cafe/pingdotgg/t3code/commit/eea989536849e5b5049987ee24318b5a77326542).

This supplements, and does not replace, the [original 19-pair index](https://gh-file-drop-api-prod-mi5fy3sowv63ufte.pinglabs.workers.dev/f/9d94cc8314b1fd1e/issue24147-index.md) and its annotations. The independent pass2 audit was read before capture. Its core-fix conclusion remains; this is not a new independent audit or merge-readiness verdict.

## Result and scope

Ten new base/candidate pairs, 20 final frames plus 20 repeats, 20 diff maps, eight interaction recordings. All 20 endpoint/repeat comparisons have zero changed pixels at 500 ms. Every endpoint/repeat/diff image was visually inspected through labeled sheets and individual endpoint views; every recording was inspected using 2 fps contact frames covering its duration. Contact sheets aid navigation; the full-resolution images and raw videos are the evidence.

The material S4 narrow and no-lane gap is now sampled in both chat roles, real Files rendered markdown, a real unsent attachment preview, and the actual PR summary markdown component. Long-token labels retain one line in expanded narrow tables and remain reachable by horizontal panning. At narrow widths, surrounding paragraph/list text reflows differently on the candidate. Wide competitive user tables allocate more width to long labels and less to neighboring prose, increasing row height. These are global effects of the guard, not a claim that only short reference labels change.

No new whole-markdown horizontal overflow was measured in the file/attachment samples. The tables already overflow horizontally on both revisions in the narrow/no-lane layouts. The narrow user table's header is wider than its 269 px viewport on both revisions: the tail is initially clipped by the intentional scroll viewport and appears after panning. Do not read an endpoint as proof that the complete token fits without scrolling.

Actual supported surfaces still unverified: compact thoughtLine/reasoning C4, italic inspector C7, review/context comment C9, actual event-detail C6 and pending question C8. Live PR fetch, PR comments and media-split segments were not verified. C2 composite coverage is improved but not exhaustive. Thus this supplement supports the named sampled surfaces, not a global all-callers pass.

## Real app setup and provenance

Only T3 preview tools were used. One isolated `vp run dev --no-seed` runtime at a time, web8018/server16058, in the requested worktree. The candidate and base were switched only while own runtime was stopped. No source edits, provider turns, forge writes, push or merge. No live home database was opened or modified. Existing `.t3` synthetic projections were retained.

C10 Files: created `/tmp/issue24147-fixtures/wrapping.md`, added that directory through the real Add project / Local folder flow, opened the file in the real Files tree, then chose rendered markdown. This ran FileMarkdownPreview. The draft did not start an agent. Attachment: selected the same file through the composer Attach files UI and opened its unsent attachment; this ran AttachmentFilePreview. It was never sent. Normal controls switched source/rendered and collapsed/expanded the table. Production rightPanelStore methods were used for panel visibility/maximization and repeat navigation; no DOM replacement or stylesheet implementation changes were used to simulate these components.

C11: opening the existing [#24163](https://git.cafe/pingdotgg/t3code/pulls/24163) in the local app returned `Pull request operation detail failed: Could not reach GitCafe.` It remained read-only and untouched. Instead, a synthetic local detail was written using the production writePullRequestDetailSnapshot cache API, validated through its read API, and opened through rightPanelStore.openPullRequest. This ran the real PullRequestDetailPanel / PullRequestSummaryTab / PullRequestMarkdown plugin chain. The fabricated cache identity is not a real PR, and no PR was created. Write capabilities were false. The visible activity-read error was retained; no request response or DOM was fabricated. The published JSON replaces environment-local project/workspace identifiers with placeholders.

The PR body contains explicit external links, a table, list, and generated reference/mention/commit links. Generated anchors were inspected as `data-pull-request-autolink` reference/mention/commit, with zero helper wbr nodes on both revisions; explicit long labels changed from 38 wbr nodes to zero, and explicit short reference labels from three to zero. This is local cached production renderer proof, not live forge integration proof.

## Matched capture method and qualifications

Within each pair, viewport, theme, content, table expansion, scroll target and loaded system fonts match. CSS viewport1440×1000 or390×1000, DPR2. T3 snapshot returns desktop1280×889 and narrow780×2000 raster; no subsequent cropping, alignment, masking or resizing was applied to the diff inputs. Fonts reported loaded, same computed14px/22.75px system family in measured previews. Repeats are500 ms apart after font readiness and settled frames. This establishes observed stability, not reduced-motion emulation or streaming coverage.

Diff0 is absolute per-channel RGB difference amplified×8 and clipped255. Its count is pixels with any nonzero channel. DiffT is magenta where the maximum absolute RGB channel difference is strictly greater than16/255. Counts cover the entire frame, including downstream reflow and underlying chat visible beside a narrow panel.

Minor capture-state confounds are retained and not masked: top-right panel-button hover/highlight differences in some wide and PR frames, and horizontal-scrollbar visibility in some narrow chat/attachment frames. These pixels are not evidence of renderer behavior. The functional panel/table state and typography match, but these pairs are not exact pointer-state matches. The PR narrow frame also includes underlying chat reflow caused by the same changed renderer. Use the labeled component geometry and full frames, not total pixel counts alone, to assess wrapping.

## Geometry observations (CSS px)

Files has no named chat-lane ancestor: wide markdown896/table viewport848, narrow markdown342/table viewport294. Attachment also has no lane: wide markdown894/table viewport846; narrow markdown390 with24px padding/table viewport342. File and attachment table intrinsic width base1070.65625 versus candidate1070.078125, unchanged185.875 height. Small width differences can reflect removing wbr kerning boundaries; both remain horizontal-scroll tables.

PR body has no lane: wide markdown/table1408; narrow markdown/table viewport310, intrinsic base1070.65625/candidate1070.078125. The narrow PR panel begins at47.8046875 and body at63.8046875. Do not confuse underlying chat markdown measurements with this body in the raw multi-component metrics.

Chat narrow named lane366 (<36rem), assistant table viewport358 and user269. Long-token table intrinsic width is approximately1070 in both revisions. The wide user markdown is approximately565 within736px lane; its long-token table allocates more label width and grows from248.484375 to384.984375px height, while remaining within the markdown width. The title/paragraph/list outside a table still has native wrapping opportunities; removing wbr does not promise an indivisible whole anchor.

## Interaction recordings

All clips are narrow390×1000 captures, dark except PR light. The recordings contain normal asynchronous source editor loading; endpoints return to rendered mode. They are interaction evidence, not pixel-matched video diffs. No continuous provider stream was invoked.

The capture recipe is historical orchestration code and relies on retained synthetic state; it is not a new database bootstrap. Title-hover recaptures superseded some initial body-hover frames. ## FRICTION

- Live GitCafe detail retrieval for the existing read-only PR failed with the explicit error above. A local production-cache synthetic PR body was feasible; live PR content, comments and media could not be established from that failed read. No public content was created or edited to obtain evidence.
- Opening the retained Worked for4.3s group exposed an empty work list, not the retained reasoning text. Reloading after clearing only isolated browser thread/shell cache did not surface a compact thoughtLine or inspector entry. C4/C7 remain unverified; no provider was started to manufacture an entry. C9 review/context comment and C8 pending question were not seeded within this follow-up; they remain named gaps, not passes.
- A hover call initially used unsupported coordinate arguments and timed out; corrected locator-based calls worked. Body-hover sometimes landed on table areas, explaining visible scrollbar/pointer-state confounds retained in the full-frame diffs. Minor panel-button highlights remain disclosed above. These limit strict same-pointer-state comparisons.
- Desktop snapshots are downscaled by the preview tool; narrow web is not native mobile. No Electron, native mobile, relay/tunnel, custom font/theme, Unicode fallback repair, loaded favicon transition or live streaming claim.
- All new fixtures/scripts live under `/tmp/issue24147-*`; only app-owned synthetic draft/cache state was added locally. Existing `.t3` data was preserved. No repo code changed. At own cleanup around23:02 UTC, candidate branch was restored at exact requested SHA, git status was clean, ports8018/16058 had no listeners, and own preview tab was closed. All own dev sessions are stopped. A later final check found concurrent activity: checkout at [e8058c32](https://git.cafe/pingdotgg/t3code/commit/e8058c32bac198a471de72f678e570efc0ba38e5) (Merge main into fix/issue-24147), with new web/server processes started23:04:48 UTC on8018/16058. Those were not spawned by this evidence run and were left untouched. All published capture endpoints predate that concurrent change and compare the requested original candidate/base.

Status: material S4 N/O and actual C10 coverage added; C11 production cached body covered with live integration limitation. Global external-label wrapping remains only partially verified across actual supported callers, particularly C4/C7/C9. Earlier proof remains valid and retained.

The93-entry media/fixture manifest records SHA256, size and local filename for every newly uploaded proof artifact. All hashes were checked against retained local files after upload. Prior source audit and independent audit are linked unchanged above.

Final shared-worktree qualification: the newer checkout/runtime belongs to concurrent activity after own cleanup; this run did not restore over it or stop its processes.
