# R8a before — service harness recording

Label: scratch service harness, **not a built-server or real-Git capture**. It imports the actual unmodified service from this checkout and supplies mocked filesystem, Git, host, projection and orchestrator dependencies. Linux x86_64 VM fs-07; Node v26.12.1; Effect clock frozen at 2026-08-28T12:00:00.000Z on both sides; UTC wall timestamps annotate calls. Viewport, theme, browser, DPR, fonts: N/A.

Steps: construct matching synthetic eligible fixture(s); start actual service; activate Deferred; await candidate-read Queue (R7) or snapshot-read Deferred (R8); drain worker; record all probes, branch inputs/options/results, summaries and dispatches; close scope. No sleep or polling is used.


Expected and observed: Before probes W successfully; calls Git at W returning null. After (8d6e64c6c2): the marker probe fails with PermissionDenied, the service keeps W and calls Git there, as before. (Caption corrected by the lead; the recording below is unchanged from the original upload.)
