# C3 — paired runtime comparison

**Outside the PR title:** Same-cwd replacement cancels an earlier lookup; scope ownership moves to the observer.

What changed:

- The title does not describe replacement/lifetime changes: a distinct R2 accepted refresh at the same exact cwd interrupts R1 and prevents its cache publication After. Before both calls wait behind the real cwd lock and publish R1 then R2.
- After the lookup outlives its finalize caller and belongs to observer-layer scope. Before the caller remains blocked. Closing scope interrupts the actual child on both sides without gate release or remote publication.
- Different canonical cwd lookups coexist on both sides; B completes while A stays gated. No alias normalization or chronological run-id ordering is claimed.

Unverified required rows: none. These captures do not establish live forge adapter compatibility.
