# Proof audit pass 2 — final source

## Findings first

**No new production rendering defect is established by the reviewed final-head evidence. The requested proof matrix remains incomplete.** Old persistent stale-size corruption and white retained layers were not reproduced in the covered fresh native sequences. This does not certify unexecuted caller paths, prop orders or matrix cells.

1. The principal web regression is supported in both attach orders and both schemes. Native phone and tablet D1 small→stale sequences remain complete through an untouched ≥12-second checkpoint without theme repair. Real phone keyboard input distinguishes final 25-column wrapping from baseline 35-column wrapping. The corrected direct native D2–D6 controls show clean gutters and recovery in the reviewed run.
2. Coverage gaps remain in split terminals, duplicate-stream last release, font-change motion, async lifecycle, reconnect/restart/overflow, terminal selection/activity-only updates, onboarding/auth/Settings callers, legacy protocol, native null/read-only/normal-buffer retention, native batch width coverage and production font replay. Every row is enumerated below. These are **unverified checkpoints**, not newly demonstrated defects.
3. Initial D5 evidence captured D4 instead: the button press at the clipped edge failed to execute the intended action. Its continuation was also one sequence behind. This is a **capture failure**, preserved and excluded. The corrected run visibly shows D5 #6 and D6 #8. The original dark keyboard tutorial mismatch is likewise preserved; a fresh ordinary-keyboard baseline replay supplies the replacement input endpoint.
4. Native screenshot normalization at requested density 2 does not measure actual native point bounds, display scale, safe areas, content scale or effective font. Tablet raw PNGs are 2064×2752, with portrait-shaped 1032×1376 telemetry reference coordinates, despite filenames ending “landscape.” No actual landscape or native 1440-point claim is accepted. Android remains the explicitly allowed UNVERIFIED hard stop, routed to Julius.
5. D2 changes buffer/grid plus supplied theme configuration/background in one React update; the provider-driven `appearanceScheme` stays unchanged. D3 bypasses production's 180 ms font readiness replay. D4 remounts React while retaining the literal terminal key. D5 begins in alternate screen. D7 remains a synchronous capture-before-pending-flush source caveat; ordinary production tap/WS updates are separate commits, so no supported production regression is established.

All owned capture resources are reported stopped; auditor own viewer had already been closed.

Exact revision SHA256: index `56a2c801e74fdcab97a07c034760be9154d6a1fa978d425171b367fd4e7f1653`; inventory `e644cad07030175f907e152803904c20517c852f11280e855045954d67139030`; timelines `405eba437cea0a92e37f63a211831621f0578ee336f805a1a70a06e9678b6654`. Immutable metadata was downloaded; all 570 local asset hashes and byte lengths match its inventory, and the exact files are preserved in reviewer scratch. This is not a claim that every public asset URL was independently re-downloaded.

The two earlier immutable preliminary inventories each contained 108 assets. All hashes and byte lengths were verified and their original revisions preserved. Sixteen cross-tab sidecars changed between preliminary revisions; UTC-to-video-elapsed conversions in the second revision agree within 1 ms. The preliminary native index was separately preserved: [native preliminary revision](https://gh-file-drop-api-prod-mi5fy3sowv63ufte.pinglabs.workers.dev/f/2e85017df79082d0/preliminary-native-index.md). It is not the final handoff.

All supplied diffs are checked against complete decoded 8-bit RGBA images, with no masking, registration or ignored antialiasing. Nonzero RGB differences are amplified 16× with minimum 64, alpha-only differences magenta; the second image marks max absolute RGBA delta >16. Numerical counts certify the supplied image arithmetic, not missing interactions or mislabelled states.

**86 supplied pairs / 172 diff PNGs independently reproduce exactly, with zero arithmetic or image errors.** All 570 raw asset hashes and byte lengths match; all 335 PNG decoded RGBA hashes and dimensions match. All six manifest-listed documents match. All 62 video dimensions/durations agree with ffprobe and have their corresponding elapsed sidecars. All 86 visible-inventory counts, bounding boxes and supplied region/island totals agree with independent results. No masks or registration.

## Every matrix row

Before and after below always mean the exact linked baseline and frozen final commits above. Web conditions are CSS 1440×900 and 390×844, light/dark, DPR 2, Chrome 154/Linux, no device emulation. Wide preview stills are downsampled 1280×800, narrow stills 780×1688; raw videos remain fixed 2880×1800 and 780×1688. Native is a compiled static fixture using the real `TerminalSurface` and native module, with limited integration explicitly retained. “Partial” means the listed checkpoints are supported but the full requested row is not.

Light-start phone D2–D6 also reviewed: actual taps 58.015 / 78.968 / 103.721 / 124.498 / 150.411 / 163.518 / 180.734 / 200.248 / 219.883 s in gesture telemetry; raw frames 71/92/117/137/152/165/186/205/225 s show D2 dark→light CONFIG, font 18→13, zero→layout, D5 #6 and D6 #8, with clean gutters. Baseline light raw samples also confirm the sequence; direct video checkpoints 201–215 s show D6 clear and ≥217 s recovery. Raw video checkpoints and command intervals are reported separately because their clock origins have disclosed uncertainty. Both phone start schemes are covered; tablet combined matrix is absent.

## Recording and timing review

Native sidecars use record-start command completion as origin and disclose dispatch-to-completion uncertainty. Gesture `tMs` is supplied as video-relative telemetry; raw-video checkpoint samples and command intervals are retained separately because start uncertainty can shift exact frame alignment. I used those actual gestures and sampled raw video; I did not invent elapsed actions or treat stills as interaction proof.

Final dark D1 raw video is 103.267 s. Actual taps: small 3.868 s, stale 16.874 s, reverse 51.219 s, keyboard 80.470 s. Every sampled second 20–50 shows the full stale header/ruler/right/bottom borders without theme. Light taps are 3.913, 16.311, 49.620 and 61.846 s; samples 20/28/36/44 s likewise remain complete. Tablet light/dark samples 24/32/40/48 s show complete stale 96×50, 58 s reverse 86×42, and 72 s keyboard-constrained 86×28. The wider input string does not reach a wrap boundary.

Corrected dark D2–D6 actual taps: 64.876 / 85.951 / 111.979 / 133.386 / 158.750 / 172.229 / 189.843 / 210.484 / 230.692 s. Raw frames 68/90 s show D2 supplied light→dark config, 115/137 s font 18→13, 162 s zero bounds, 175 s layout #5, 193 s prefix #6, 213 s empty cursor only and 234 s recovery #8. Labels, grids and marker sequence agree. The first missed-action D5 attempt is not used.

The normalized baseline dark keyboard replay shows progressive actual typing at 64/70/78 s with an ordinary keyboard; baseline wraps at 35 columns while final wraps at 25. Fresh baseline D2/D3 settled replay actual taps are 20.457/41.010/66.265/87.612 s; screenshot dispatches 32.746/53.305/78.653/99.907 s satisfy ≥12-second holds. Its explicit cross-name pair mappings are retained.

W01 and W02 sampled raw recordings agree with hide/reveal and attach-order progression. W03 samples show actual width and height drags; final shared 32×7 is visible. Corrected W09 samples show real scrollback movement. PTY fit milestones are the visible committed TUI header/canvas state; they are not direct WS event timestamps.

Raw recording exists despite touch-overlay export timing out; no overlay claim is made.

## Honest visible-change inventory

- W01 narrow light/dark: exact zero. Wide light: 693 changed / 75 >16, comprising 588 sidebar-hover pixels plus 105 cursor pixels. Dark: 670 / 90, comprising 578 hover plus 92 cursor pixels. Hover is subthreshold; cursor outline/fill is retained.
- W02: intended renderer extent/background changes on wide, corrected headers/rulers/borders/cursor versus clipping on reverse narrow. Narrow forward endpoints are exact zero. No incidental differences are masked.
- W03: intended font-18 per-axis grid, rendered extent, header/border/cursor and spare area changes. Pointer/hover and sidebar placement differences are retained. Both final crossed endpoints are supplied; absent light intermediate remains absent.
- W05: light wide restored endpoint is exact zero at 183×15; dark baseline 48×9/full blue → final 183×15 gives 11,037 / 9,136. Pre-disconnect narrow light has 58,371 changed pixels, all ≤16, and dark 1,536, all ≤16, including ordinary UI/bottom-strip raster. Blank post-disconnect narrow exact zero is not terminal proof.
- W09: real normal-buffer wrapping, scrollbar/scroll position and cursor changes, with intended wide clipping correction. Corrected narrow bottom endpoints exact zero; scroll endpoints retain cursor/raster differences. Selection attempts do not show a highlighted range.
- Native equal dark: 5,465 / 5,039 consists of battery 633 pixels, SHA fixture label 2,054 and home indicator 2,778; terminal pixels match. Dark D1 stale: 2,688 / 2,403 is battery 634 plus SHA 2,054. Light stale: 5,486 / 5,153 includes battery 653, SHA 2,053 and home indicator 2,780.
- Native D2/D3: real INPUTWRAP/right-edge/next-row displacement plus SHA/battery/home-indicator raster. D5 prefix changes retained content reflow/clipping and new suffix; 40,646 / 37,914 in the corrected dark pair. D6 empty is cursor-only, then labelled recovery. Button-row scroll position and requested-font/grid labels are retained where different.
- Original dark input tutorial mismatch: 496,706 / 369,721, preserved as a state-mismatched pair. Replacement ordinary-keyboard baseline → original final endpoint: supplied 19,151 / 17,290, dominated by real wrapping/cursor and incidental status/SHA raster. Neither comparison is masked.

## Independent committed-fixture replay

Exclusive FIX START 05:25:59 UTC; own viewer opened 05:27:13, closed and RELEASE sent 05:30:06. Existing isolated server/home used; no other viewer operated. In actual `term-1` PTY, exited the prior TUI and ran the committed `scripts/fixtures/issue-14463/shared-terminal.py` from the frozen worktree. Fixture SHA256 `8dc83996dcac4f3fc09d655f11a1031f351dd69941a602ce31262edf58a7c703`.

CSS 390×844, DPR 2, Chrome 154/Linux, light, code font 13 px/effective Liberation Mono, advanced typography off, smoothing on, drawer 280 px/canvas 279 px, backing 780×558. Inactive advanced terminal-size setting 12 does not control effective font. Whole PNG 780×1688. Fresh browser light profile compared with matching supplied light checkpoint.

**Exact zero changed RGBA pixels out of 1,316,640; zero >16; maximum delta zero.** No registration, crops or masks. This reproduces one affected committed-fixture capture, not the rest of the matrix.

## Source coverage and provenance

Read the complete 21-file diff (821 insertions / 70 deletions). Web/Android use min(shared, measured) for drawing while reporting measured fit; shared runtime handles snapshot/activity dimensions independently of output version; backend's per-RPC viewer hold survives overflow resync; dimensions remain optional in contracts. Overflow/recovery tests are supplemental, not visual execution of W08.

Swift buffer application waits until Expo `OnViewDidUpdateProps`; creation/refresh avoids feeding pending output before the final grid. Final cleanup frees renderer/app then removes viewport sublayers inside an animation-disabled CATransaction. Pinned Ghostty [cf8edc23f3](https://github.com/Yash-Singh1/ghostty/commit/cf8edc23f3a6a87a96e41a90013e89e987d34980) adds the UIKit layer and releases it without detaching. The viewport has no subviews; input field is a sibling. This supports the cleanup rationale statically; covered fresh pixels support its observed result.

Independently compared actual disposable native checkout files to `git show` for both commits. Generated static entrypoints equal the committed template with product SHA substitution. Baseline build `2b2e180c-7621-43f6-96d0-3d2805d658c4`; final `36f3e6da-9c9b-45ae-beee-30c599e2b5e5`, finished 05:32:44 UTC and installed before final captures. Temporary simulator architecture exclusions and `MOBILE_VERSION_POLICY=appVersion` override are disclosed on both builds; no hidden native product patch found. The complete temporary patch matches actual EAS/podspec diff bytes (SHA256 `ce20149ebba601f75bf4860dedd12d6adff02b0180c712c3aa15a87b8c409206`). The initial EAS-only attachment is superseded. Native archive digest remains explicitly unverified after HTTP 403 download failures; source hashes/build IDs/fingerprints are distinct provenance.

No Electron shell/IPC change: browser proof covers its shared renderer only. Terminal geometry is provider independent. Remote/relay/tunnel delivery, production mobile WS/navigation/permissions and font readiness are not certified by this static fixture. Unchanged fallback/gates and ordinary chrome do not add a Cartesian capture requirement. [Reported verification](https://gh-file-drop-api-prod-mi5fy3sowv63ufte.pinglabs.workers.dev/f/bdadea19e2211053/issue14463-verification.md) passes 96 tests in six files and 29 affected typechecks; not rerun here. TS checks do not certify native runtime behavior. Worktree remained clean at the frozen head during audit.

## Friction

FRICTION brief | Shared FIX PTY required an exclusive viewer window; own viewer closed before RELEASE. No later auditor navigation.

FRICTION infra | Native normalization does not measure display scale/safe areas/actual points. Touch-overlay export failure in the supplementary primary pass does not invalidate its raw video, but no overlay is claimed.
