# Issue 25283 native evidence capture

Environment: existing checkout `/home/ubuntu/t3code`, shared-pool Pixel 9 Android API 36, session `issue-25283`, native screenshots 1080×2424. Cached dev client fingerprint `0328f4ec326e7e4bf1bf87625118f3ff2f7a18d7`. Default system text size reads `large`; restored after the scale attempt. Native light/dark appearance exercised. Synthetic V2 projections in isolated `/tmp/issue-25283-home`; no live userdata writes. Backend 13773, web 5733, Metro 8081 on all interfaces with `EXPO_NO_METRO_LAZY=1` and `REACT_NATIVE_PACKAGER_HOSTNAME=fs-39.tail131df4.ts.net`. Handoff: backend PID 2949657 (cwd /home/ubuntu/t3code/apps/server), Metro PID 2935359, original watcher PID 2934161 remains without its original child. Phone remains open at long expanded TOP in light mode; backend and Metro remain running for the primary audit/cleanup. The only source swap was `apps/mobile/src/features/threads/thread-work-log.tsx`; exact HEAD bytes were restored, and git status was clean afterward.

## Visible differences

- Overflowing reasoning at TOP: baseline cuts the last visible line sharply; HEAD adds a bottom gradient blending into the screen in both themes. The top has no added fade.
- At END: the final paragraph/last line is reachable and the bottom veil disappears. A clipped line at the top is the scroller boundary, not a top gradient.
- Short fitting reasoning: all text remains visible with no bottom veil. HEAD adds terminal WorkLogBlock spacing before the assistant reply, moving the bottom-anchored preceding block slightly upward. Header, body, and reply remain framed in the stills.
- Single reasoning item follows its retained header and gets the same bounded scroll/fade behavior as multiple items.
- Mixed reasoning/tool rows retain the existing row-list rendering. The 22-command control scrolls from its first rows through command 21 and retains its existing fades. This control does not use the new reasoning wrapper.

## Evidence audit and reproduction

The six terminal pairs keep fixture, device, width, text scale, disclosure, theme and scroll endpoint matched. No image registration, warping or selective text crop was used. Pair canvases label BEFORE baseline / AFTER HEAD; originals are also included. Exact RGB diffs (`diff0`) and max-channel-delta >8 heatmaps retain real spacing changes; only y<60 (the system status strip) is excluded from those comparisons. Nonzero baseline/HEAD counts are expected because the fix changes spacing and fade. Repeat captures establish still stability separately. Core repeat content is identical, including the short light/dark pairs; one dark top repeat changes only the system clock. The rejected continued-short dark repeat is unstable and not proof.

Baseline extra recording contains navigation, Fast Refresh and a failed driver retry between its baseline segments; it is not represented as a continuously baseline-only run. Use the named baseline endpoint stills plus the drivers for source/state attribution. Native Android screenrecord encodes changed frames; the final slow-attempt recording reports 61.5 seconds encoded for a 67.6-second capture window. All finalized recordings were probed and sampled into review contact sheets; stills and diff sheets were opened and inspected.

## FRICTION

- Nested generic scroll top/bottom sometimes targeted the wrong container. Native coordinate swipes were used after inspecting the viewport; end text verified through snapshots and stills.
- CLI help rejects --session; installed usage definitions were read without driving a device. Every device command used the repo-owned executable from the repo root with --session issue-25283.
- Fast Refresh can report quiet before its blue banner clears and can race navigation. Refresh/toast frames were replaced; drivers retain the failed attempts.
- Direct database reseeding does not invalidate an already-cached thread. The mixed control remains the smaller original fixture in captures; the fresh tool-only thread shows all 22 commands.
- Startup recovery settles unfinished synthetic runs; the continuation candidates still have an intervening run header. C0/C1 remain open.
- System font scale recreates the Activity and changes route; R1 remains open. Large is restored.
- A slow tiny drag triggered Android selectable text. It is not opacity-taper evidence. A later fast gesture avoids selection, but exact final-12-unit calibration remains open.
- The pool worker briefly disconnected from its gateway; record finalization succeeded on retry. No phone close or Metro stop was issued.
- iOS was already unavailable after prior attempts; no iOS parity claim. No fold/tablet lease or local native build was attempted in this pass.
- No code checks/reviews were started for this evidence-only task.
