2026-10-25 UTC; requested head203a30bacc0dbb269fa68b66f12b9c5e7cb6d0fc, branch fix/issue-24504. No code edits, pushes, forge commands, watchers, merge, or delegation. Uses prior core evidence without rerunning clones/base captures.

Later caller sequence was repeated in dedicated caller-reset-dwell because the first recording stopped too close to final interaction.

**service-failure-recovery.mp4 (21s):** 00:00–00:10 .git-only removal attempt returns empty success (not an error proof); restore.git, move entire synthetic workspace to sibling; 00:11–00:19 new query fails with visible “Failed to list workspace entries in '/tmp/issue24504-proof-fixtures/large'.” Hidden.env remains selected. Restore workspace; 00:20 query202 visibly recovers its real row. No atom result override, fake rendering, code edits, or transport mocks.

**initial-refresh-failure.mp4 (7s):** 00:00 open panel; 00:02–00:06 real refreshed initial RPC error while workspace temporarily absent. Stale default.env retained, so this does NOT prove fresh-initial/no-default error. Restore workspace/refresh after error; recovery RPC was awaited, but stop was too close to claim legible final recovery in this clip. Search recovery is separately legible above.

**legacy-exact200.mp4 (7s):** 00:00–00:03 open panel; 00:04 All shows200 selected1.57KB with no search control; 00:05 None; 00:06 All restores200. Screenshot legacy-exact200.png confirms exact200. Real listing contains200 eligible rows plus truncated remainder. Only source search capability was overridden; target remains modern. legacy-199-attempt.mp4 retains first correct199 result when oversize occupied one of200 listing slots; fixture subsequently moved oversize outside workspace and reloaded before final exact200 proof.

## Visible differences in existing before/after images

Search input is added above the list on truncated modern source. Selection summary uses selected-count/byte wording; All/None reflect shown rows while total selected includes hidden picks. Truncation wording directs users to search for the rest. Search consumes vertical space and changes dialog height/position and footer/list placement, especially narrow layout. Whole-frame differences also include background/sidebar relative timestamps, shifted background alignment/blur under the dialog, dialog/control shadows, focus outline and caret phase. These are visible changes, not claimed pixel equivalence or new regressions.

**Metric correction:** pixel-diff-metrics-corrected.json labels threshold0 and20 as luminance of the RGB difference image after PIL convert('L'). Threshold0 is not an any-channel RGB inequality count; low channel differences can round to zero luminance. Prior numeric labels should be read with this correction. No new base/head capture was made.

## FRICTION category | happened | avoidance

- navigation | URL changed to Connections before content changed; direct reload settled it | wait for actual content before interacting.

- fixture | oversize consumes one of200 listing slots, yielding199 eligible in no-search mode | temporarily move synthetic oversize out, reload real list, retain both attempts.
- failure injection | git failures intentionally map to empty success | missing cwd triggers normalization/service error; restore directory and new query recovers.
- H limit | cached query refresh retains default.env on failure | classify as cached initial-refresh coverage, leave fresh-initial/no-default and controlled pending gate pending.

## Cleanup and safety

Both owned server sessions and owned git daemon stopped with captured session IDs. ss verified7797/15837/15838/19454 closed. Owned tab closed. Synthetic /tmp homes/fixtures removed. Worktree clean at requested head. No live userdata database used; browser tool-generated artifacts copied read-only into supplement. Capability mutation cleared by reload/closed tab. Public files contain synthetic paths/content only; no pairing screenshots/tokens, logs with auth, or credentials uploaded. Scripts retained: seed.py, capability-driver.js, drivers.md. Inspection sheet/key final frame retained; redundant extracted frames discarded.
