# Fresh proof auditor pass 2: PASS

Accept the checkpoint metric proof for replacement [ef8b584360](https://git.cafe/pingdotgg/t3code/commit/ef8b58436094622a69acd92079c7355d1245b3d7), associated with [#23964](https://git.cafe/pingdotgg/t3code/pulls/23964). This is proof acceptance, not a merge-readiness verdict.

Independently read the complete origin/main...HEAD diff (three server implementation/test files), production checkpoint/VCS/metrics/exporter code, diagnostic hook, runner, packaging script, transcript, prior audit, identities/results, all ten raw OTLP exports, summaries, synthetic Git state and actual local archive. No proof scripts were executed, servers/browser started, live userdata accessed, or code/forge content changed. Only this report was written; app-owned PR association was registered.

- Exact base is [5bb54a0f77](https://git.cafe/pingdotgg/t3code/commit/5bb54a0f77c6655fdb2ab551612ca1ca1fcd3667); local replacement HEAD remains ef8b58436094622a69acd92079c7355d1245b3d7 with clean status. Read-only remote lookup confirms main still equals that base. No changed head requiring recapture. The reported previous final merge attempt was not rerun; present ancestry/ref checks are consistent with an unchanged head.
- The hook gates on the real apps/server/src/bin.ts entry point and invokes production CheckpointStore.layer, VcsDriverRegistry.layer, VcsProcess.layer and NodeServices.layer inside that process. It creates a separate production service graph in the server process, rather than borrowing the running application's existing service instance. There is no registry override, manual metric update/read, or second exporter in the hook. Production Observability uses the ordinary OtlpMetrics exporter.
- Hook and capture-result PIDs match: base 1258495, head 1260011; transcript records matching /proc argv. Ordinary orchestration metrics establish exporter activity before capture. Both requested git metrics are absent before both triggers. Base capture succeeds and target metrics remain absent in all six raw bodies, including subsequent exports. Selected before/after objects match preserved raw request bodies.
- Head capture succeeds. For operation GitVcsDriver.checkpoints.captureCheckpoint, success counter=8, histogram count=8, sum=64.738899 ms. Histogram buckets sum to 8 (four in each of the <=8 and <=16 ms buckets). Counter has operation/outcome; histogram has operation/time_unit and no outcome. These are eight subprocess attempts for one checkpoint, not eight checkpoints. No fabricated zero rows.
- Independently checked actual checkpoint refs, working files, index contents, staged diff and unstaged diff for both runs. Checkpoint files contain initial/staged/unstaged lines; indexes contain initial/staged; working files contain all three. Both retain MM file.txt. Checkpoint commits match the transcript. All 15 recorded collector/process-group/server PIDs are currently absent.
- Visual matrix: empty, correctly. Changes are server-only instrumentation/tests; no client presentation, wire contract or provider-specific behavior changed. Runtime production service capture is appropriate evidence for this scope.

Publication: inspected the actual 15,487-byte local archive, verified every SHA256SUMS entry and local-file parity. Archive SHA256 is 04b42322b6aa88e5ed160f288e00e570a62ae460bf0c4e1be795780b9b57b56d. Downloaded uploaded bundle, transcript, metric summary and audit-pass2.md into memory and confirmed exact byte equality with local files. Summary matches raw exports. Prior audit's substantive proof conclusions independently hold.

Archive includes 24 evidence files plus SHA256SUMS, including complete successful raw exports and prior audit. It correctly omits failed attempts, private server logs (confirmed to contain pairing URLs), homes/databases/secrets, synthetic repositories, duplicate runner-output, uploads.json and package-evidence.py. Thus published Git preservation rests on transcript/script evidence; the underlying Git objects/index were verified locally here but are not bundled. Packaging script and this later report are also absent from that already-uploaded bundle. Forbidden-marker scan of all archived text passed; this is not an exhaustive secret detector.

Limitations: diagnostic trigger bypasses provider lifecycle, turn persistence and outbox; it is not end-to-end provider-turn evidence. Runtime capture exercises successful operations and allowed nonzero exits, not failure/cancellation/retry scenarios; those have focused source tests, which this read-only pass did not rerun. PID/provenance conclusions rely on mutually consistent preserved scripts/artifacts, not independent syscall tracing or a fresh run. GitCafe metadata and direct contributor-branch lookup still identify original [1b1d50c8c2](https://github.com/yordis/t3code/commit/1b1d50c8c2fef961f5fa3358805bed3f601ff509), so replacement proof must not be described as proof of the currently published PR head.

FRICTION: initial upload download returned HTTP 403; retry with browser User-Agent succeeded and byte comparisons passed. cafe pr status failed with SERVER_ERROR / ConnectionRefused; current CI/merge readiness remains unverified. Prior capture friction concerned readiness metric selection, ESM contracts resolution and watch-parent shutdown; successful artifacts resolve these. No remaining proof blocker or recapture requirement identified.
